criterion | Pariah

I am drawn to stories that are often overlooked, so when I was approached by the folks at Criterion to reimagine the cover for the rerelease of Pariah I was thrilled.

Pariah, an important film that follows the journey of a young Black woman named Alike, was a film that I had had a personal connection with as it was one of the films I watched before coming out. It was important to me to keep the colors vibrant and intricate to reflect the emotions and themes of the film.

With this cover I aimed to not only celebrate the filmmaker's incredible story but to also leave a lasting impact on viewers.
